Welcome to the newly designed OVACC website:
OVACC is made up of dedicated families from Ottawa and surrounding areas. In addition to hosting children from Belarus each summer, we work and fundraise earnestly throughout the year to gather medical supplies, educational supplies, clothing and food staples to assist our Belarussian families.
Following a visit to Belarus in 2007 by four of our members, we have decided to concentrate on the village of Machnovitchi and surrounding area.
My family's committment began in 1995 when we first hosted Youlia, who was 7 years old at the time. Youlia became part of our family and spent eight summers with us, three of which also included her younger sister, Ilona. We are proud to say that Youlia now attends university in Mogliev and that we continue to support her.
